Yeezy Beige Suede Crepe Sole Boots
Hip-hop legend and style icon Kanye West introduces his highly anticipated Yeezy Season 2 collection with this featured Crepe Sole Boot arriving as one of the marquee designs. Expanding upon the critically acclaimed 950 Boot from Season 1, the Crepe Sole Boot benefits from a slightly more refined design aesthetic this time around.
Constructed from a premium suede leather and sporting a gum crepe sole, this military-influenced high boot certainly draws inspiration from the classic desert boot model. It’s a decidedly minimalist design that echoes the stylistic nuances of Kanye’s music.
This particular boot is also a part of the Yeezy mainline collection and shares no ties with Adidas Originals; suggesting that Mr West is truly beginning to hone his skills and come into his own as a supremely talented fashion designer.
DESIGNER BIOS
Christian Louboutin
With over 30 years at the helm of his eponymous brand, Christian Louboutin is one of the most celebrated fashion designers on the planet, attracting worldwide attention for his lavish and distinctive footwear designs.
Mr Louboutin first began to make his mark in the industry by designing shoes for dancers at the Parisian cabaret Folies Bergère, before being taken under the wing of famed footwear designer Charles Jourdan. Opening his first boutique in 1991, Louboutin’s unmistakable talent for creating unique and beautiful shoes was almost immediately recognised amongst fashion’s elite.
Today, the brand is an empire, with Christian Louboutin’s signature red-lacquered outsole becoming one of the most identifiable trademarks in the fashion universe. In more recent times, the designer has diversified his portfolio to include handbags and men’s footwear. Louboutin also boasts a commanding profile within celebrity circles, his widely sought-after shoes adorning the feet of Pharrell Williams, Madonna, David Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker to name but a few.
Amiri
Amiri is the eponymous fashion label from Los Angeles-native Mike Amiri. Officially launched in 2013, Amiri draws inspiration from the city’s grunge rock culture, especially prevalent at time of the designer’s youth. Amiri is defined by its heavily distressed and deconstructed looks, riffing on the classic punk-rock aesthetic that often characterises the contemporary streetwear scene. The label combines high-quality materials, including premium denim and supple leathers, with sterling-silver hardware and meticulous fabric treatments to produce a luxury menswear collection with a refined, rebellious edge.
